With the first event of the European Mudder season a couple of days away, we were wondering how London West Mudders are feeling with the event so close. We put the question out on Twitter last week and the answers we recieved told us that if you’re feeling excited, nervous or just a little bit numb, don’t worry, there are plenty of Mudders out there feeling the same way.
If you’re considering signing up but have hesitated to hit the sign up button, read on, you may find some inspiration from people about to earn their first orange headband.
Just had the realisation that I’m doing Tough Mudder next week #Nervous #Unprepared #ToughMudderLondonWest

Not to worry Holly, a week out the most important preparation you can do is mental. Just make sure you spend the next few days focusing on your mental grit and you will be fine. Oh, and make sure your team are doing the same thing.
So tough mudder is a week and a half away! Looking forward to volunteering, not so much running! #brickingit #ToughMudderLondonWest

Lucy has the right idea, if you’re a little unsure, volunteering is the best way to get a taste of what a Tough Mudder is all about. After a day volunteering you can be sure that you won’t be able to wait to get out there on course.
Feeling a bit nervous about running @ToughMudder London West alone – might need some stranger pull up help! #ToughMudderLondonWest

There is no such thing as being alone on a Tough Mudder course Marietta. Every Mudder out there is on your team and will be happy to help you whenever you need a boost.
@ToughMudder me and @AdamDooley94 are running our first Tough Mudder on May 2nd. We’re ready

Good to hear, Dan. There are going to be a bunch of first-time Mudders out there on course with you. By the end of the day you will all be wondering why it took so long to convince yourself to do it in the first place.
So if you’re a little nervous, excited or just don’t know what to expect, there are Mudders out there who are feeling the same way. Everyone’s in it together.
See you in the mud.
